Walking to and from work, while generally quite relaxing, kind of sucks when it’s pouring rain, cold and grey. Just an observation.
I’m wondering how I’m going to do through the winter. I think I need a boot tray for my classroom to place beside my coat rack. I wonder if there are lime green boot trays…
I’m a bit slow on the uptake sometimes. I had H1N1. Spanish flu was H1N1. You know, the big Spanish Flu? Like, tens of thousands of people dead in 1918? THAT Spanish Flu? So here’s what I realized:
I survived the Spanish Flu!
If this was 1919, I’d be totally awesome right now.
Today, I did a whole lotta laundry. I still have a lot to do, but I have accomplished much. I also made an utterly delicious minipizza. I have some pita bread to use up, so I used that as the base – purchased sauce, a slow-carmelized vidalia onion and chevre mozzarella. Sprinkle a few healthy shakes of regular ol’ dried oregano on that and it’s awesome. So simple, and tasty on a wet, rainy June day.

I think I need a tshirt with an image of Napoleon eating a cookie. I also need a tshirt with Jimmy Buffett, but Napoleon eating a cookie may be too much for me to resist.
So, I have a cold. I wish my sinuses would drain – it’s THAT version of the cold that’s going around. My head does not feel good.
On the up side? I’m making a roast. With shallot sauce! Yum.
I’m going to take it easy tonight. I might game. I bought The Force Unleashed for the Wii for Scott, thinking I would also like to play. But man, it looks intimidating. I don’t think I have the physical co-ordination to play the Wii version of Force Unleashed. It appears to be quite the workout. I should have gotten the Price Is Right games for my DS instead. The mountaineer! Plinko! That’s more my speed. Sad but true!
